Horizon Technology  is looking for a self-motivated and creative sales engineer to work with our team in Erbil. The candidate, with the support of the technical team, will work to select a specific list of services and products to promote, develop its marketing material, approach the prospective customers and drive them through the sales cycle stages to the closing stage. 

You are expected to be able to conduct yourself as a professional and trusted adviser for the customer’s technical and management staff and build a healthy rapport with the customer’s decision makers. 


You are going to work with technical professionals who have years of experience in the telecom and ICT sectors. 

You will have access to a lot of technical and sales materials which is essential to help you perform your job in a professional manner. understanding the technology and the product details is necessary to be able to position the right solution for the right customer.


  • Create and manage marketing and sales materials and manage them through the content distribution channels such as Website, Social Media, email campaigns and other mediums 
  • Put a sales plan, get approved and achieve its sales target 
  • Meet with the customers, collect requirements, demonstrate the company’s product portfolio, answer their technical question.
  • Handling customer’s objection and educate the customer about the technical solution.
  • Use the available marketing and sales tools to generate leads, register them in the respective vendor portals, and convert them into a closed sale. 
  • Deliver onsite presentation and demonstration.
  • Maintain the customers’ contact records in the CRM and related tools.
  • Design and manage customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Develop case studies for the projects after delivery .
  • Attend the technical(presales) and sales trainings, acquire the required certificates to stay competent and eligible to perform the job.
  • Perform market research to analyze the rival offerings and advise the company about the required optimization of the offering to stay a head of the market.
  • Respond to the customers’ RFQ/RFP/RFI in a professional and timely manner.
  • Travel inside Kurdistan Region of Iraq (very frequent), and other parts of Iraq to meet the customers (Occasional)
